Fatal incident at UPM Tilhill harvesting site

A 37-year old sub-contractor died in an incident on a harvesting site near Hexham yesterday (Monday 24 September, 2007).

Local ambulance and police services attended the scene.

Following the incident UPM Tilhill\\\'s Safety Manager and Timber Operations Manager will meet representatives from Northumberland Police and the Health & Safety Executive on site this morning (Tuesday 25 September).

UPM Tilhill wishes to extend its sympathy to the family of the contractor who died.
