Project: Restoration of features and provision of improved facilities

Management and installation of a project to restore Danson Park’s early nineteenth century landscape and to provide improved facilities for today’s park users. Work was completed in 24 weeks with parkland remaining open to the public.

Landscaping included:
- Construction of a 103m long brick haha wall.
- Erection of 400m of galvanised boundary railings with gates.
- Renovation of gardens including vegetation clearance, levelling and reseeding of lawns, and replanting of ornamental trees and shrubs.
- Removal of old play area to facilitate restoration of parkland.
- Construction of a gravel surfaced car park.
- Earth modelling - 2,100m3 excavated, relocated and re-profiled.
- Construction of new play area, with wet play facility. 1,000m2 of wet pour safety surface including graphics.
- Creation of a kiosk and public toilet facility.
